Ensuring the safety of you and your staff

Safety is critical for all working at height operators and an unattached user, at height, is one of the most dangerous situations imaginable. The Saken Monitor 1.0 helps reduce the chance of injury or fatality by alerting them and your staff to a hazard event.

How does the Saken Monitor 1.0 work?

Detect

The sensor array detects whether a user has entered a potential hazard area without connection to the safety system. The hazard area could be vertical in orientation, like while climbing upwards on a ladder fall arrest system or horizontal as in access platforms of roof areas.

Alert

With a Tier 1 Alarm, audio and visual alerts are activated for the user / direct supervisor to identify the potential hazards situation. Additional visual and vibration alerts are sent to the remote control devices, giving the location and level of alarm to remote supervisors and managers.

A Tier 2 Alarm is configurable for almost any other situation, such as an accidental release of a fall arrest block or out of date PPE, giving a customizable level alert to the main and  remote control devices with location and level of the alarm to user and supervisory staff.

Record

Additional functionality of the Saken Safety System includes downloadable data which can be configured to record:

  • Near miss and incident information, with time, date and location

  • Usage information of each unit: how many ascents, with time, date and location

  • Lifespan and inspection tracking information giving number of ascents for lifespan

  • PPE usage and restrictions for each unit area, giving time date and number of uses (with optional configuration) - e.g. harnesses, helmets

  • Access control for personnel
